Whole bang shoot

‘The whole shoot’ is British military slang for the whole lot or everything and dates from the late 19th century. In this regard, very similar to US military slang, the whole shooting match, which dates from the same period. ‘Whole bang shoot’ is thought to be a 20th century development dating from WWI, of ‘the whole shoot’.
