Two-time

To two-time is a verb that means to cheat, to betray, or to deceive, sometimes in a romantic or sexual context. It is of American origin and is frequently heard in American western movies, which is fine, provided they date from about 1924, which is when this expression is first cited. It probably derives from doing two things at the same time in order to deceive.
