Sweet smell of success

Coined in 1957 by Ernest Lehman (1915-2006) a screenwriter who wrote screenplay adaptations for many Hollywood movies, including 'The Sweet Smell of Success' starring Burt Lancaster and Tony Curtis, which was released in 1957 and was a screenplay adaptation of a short story that Lehman wrote. His most notable screenplay adaptions were 'West Side Story' and 'The Sound of Music'.
