Scampi

Scampi is the plural of scampo the Italian for shrimp or prawn. Strictly speaking, scampi should specifically refer to Dublin Bay Prawns, nephrops norvegicus, but these days, scampi can be any dish of deep fried prawns in batter or breadcrumbs.
