Man for all seasons

This was Robert Whittington’s famous description of Sir Thomas More written c. 1520. A Man for All Seasons was fittingly the title of the play by Robert Bolt with Paul Scofield in the lead role. The play was made into a film in 1966 and it subsequently won eight Academy Awards in 1967, including best picture, best actor and best director.
