Laughter is the best medicine

It is not known who coined these actual words, but the concept itself is found in the Bible, Proverbs 17:22 “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.” The Bible, however, also tells us that a good cry is better than a good laugh, Ecclesiastes 7:3 “Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better.” Lord Byron once wrote, “Always laugh when you can. It is cheap medicine.”
