Cream/creamed

To cream someone is to defeat or beat them severely as one would whip cream, an Americanism with a first citation from the Princeton Alumni Weekly 24 May 1929. It has since been adopted in Britain especially in sports. To get creamed is to lose a match very badly. Batsmen at cricket are often heard to have creamed or whipped the ball to the boundary fence.
