Bodge/bodger

Bodge is not slang it is merely a variation of botch. Both words mean more or less the same thing i.e. to provide slapdash, makeshift or sub-standard work and both words are part of Standard English. Bodge dates from the mid-1500s, while botch is a little older from the mid-1400s.
