Adam the gardener

Whilst prostitution is considered the oldest profession, gardening is the oldest pastime. Those who love gardening should take great solace from the fact that, according to the Bible, God first created the Garden of Eden and only then created Adam to tend it. “And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the Garden of Eden to dress it and keep it.” (Genesis, 2:15) Adam is Old Hebrew for man.
